The full-fledged Political Science and also test series courses conducted last year have been highly satisfying and beneficial for students who wrote Mains last year i.e in 2020. We are happy to share with you that the course has been impactful as many questions (not just the regular or conventional ones!) were covered in either the classroom course or the mains test series program. And as a testimony to this, we notched a good rank in PSIR this year with Vaibhav Rawat clocking Rank 25 with PSIR as his optional. Hearty congratulations to him!!!
Continuing with the good work we are starting an Online cum Offline batch for Political Science optional on October 21st, 2021.

There shall be minimal dictation as each and every word of dictation has been covered verbatim in the printed material. The material will be uploaded as PDF handouts in advance for the classes
All classes are live and interactive. Also, separate doubt clearing sessions will be held
We are not resorting to mere imitation of offline classes online . We shall make the best use of the online domain by going live with live chat features, questionnaires, supplementary handouts, and integrated slides to say the least!

All the 12 tests will be held through our Mains portal which we have made seamless through integration of Tests, Synopsis and Live test discussions along with an online appointment booking system for resolution of queries. Click on the link to have a look at our dedicated Mains portal.
Tests will be evaluated through a unique part-wise system which will make students capable of self-evaluation. This will improve their judgment in differentiating a good and bad answer.
Test questions will be discussed after evaluation, giving students the standard approach in UPSC to fetch more marks.
Technology-mediated appointments for further clarifications of doubts if any.
There will be classes on previous years’ UPSC papers giving the students a perspective on changing trends and the dynamics of the subject which differ from the regular University exams.
The 12 Tests will be uploaded in PDF format on portal.manifestias.com
To write the test students have to download the PDF. After taking the test , you have to send us back a scanned copy in pdf format for evaluation through the same portal
Further evaluated test copy will be shared with the students on the portaal itself within 15 days after receiving the answer sheet.
Note: Daily Answer Writing Practice through Sprint Test which will be based on portions covered in the previous class. The model answer shall be given at the end of the class.
The dynamic nature of Political Science papers in UPSC has been on an increasing curve in recent times. The recent papers of 2019 and 2020 testify this.
Almost 50% of the paper was current based. Questions like Multipolarity, Human Rights and Data, Brahmaputra issue, PMO, National Commission on Women to name a few were inspired from events .
The good thing about such questions is it prepares a candidate even for GS questions. But the preparation for such questions in Political Science differs slightly along with the usual overlaps. In political science one needs to link theoretical aspects with the current issues. Making such linkages in answers helps a candidate fetch more marks.
For example, the human rights and big data question can be linked to Frankfurt school and their views on consumerism.
But this skill does not come in a day. It first needs clarity about the concept and then follows the application part.
Understanding this need of students, we will be doing the interlinkage classes separately.
In these classes following things will be taught
Important current affairs topics related to Political Science from newspapers will be picked
They will be explained and important points will be provided on those topics in class which can be easily used for revision during the exams.
These points will come in handy for GS paper 2 as well.
Most importantly integration with theoretical concepts will be done and also tricks will be provided to learn the art of linking things.
