The full-fledged Political Science and also test series courses conducted last year have been highly fetching for people who wrote Mains last year i.e in 2019. We are happy to share with you that the course has been impactful as many questions (not just the regular or conventional ones!) were covered in either the classroom course or the mains test series. Continuing with the good work and going one step further we are starting an Online batch for Political Science on November 2nd, 2020 along with Offline batch ( Subject to Government restrictions).
The course is designed to repeat the attempt of targeting the questions of this year mains i.e. 2020 along with maximizing the score.
KEY FEATURES OF THE COURSE
It is a Full-fledged course comprising classes covering all sections of the subject. It caters to every student even without a background of Political Science. The course includes the following components
1. Every word of the Syllabus will be covered
2. All current events of the previous year
3. Exclusive current classes every fortnight
4. Daily answer writing tests
5. Twelve practice tests
Note: Daily Answer Writing Practice through Sprint Test which will be based on portions covered in the previous class. The model answer shall be given at the end of the class.
We are not resorting to mere imitation of the offline classes online. We shall make the best use of the online domain by going live with live chat features, questionnaires, supplementary handouts, and integrated slides to say the least!
Dynamic nature of Political Science papers in UPSC has been on an increasing curve in recent times. The recent paper of 2019 testifies this.
Almost 50% of the paper was current based. Questions like Multipolarity, Human Rights and Data, Brahmaputra issue, PMO, National Commission on Women to name a few were current inspired.
The good thing about such questions is it prepares a candidate even for GS questions. But the preparation for such questions in Political Science differs slightly along with the usual overlaps. In political science one needs to link theoretical aspects with the current issues. Making such linkages in answers helps a candidate fetch more marks.
For example, the human rights and big data question can be linked to Frankfurt school and their views on consumerism.
But this does not come in a day. It at first needs a clarity about the concept and then comes the application part.
Understanding this need of students, we are providing 2 current affairs classes to be held every fortnight along with the course.
This way current topics of every month will be covered accordingly. In these classes following things will be taught
