    CLASSES

We are not resorting to mere imitation of the offline classes online. We shall make the best use of the online domain by going live with live chat features, questionnaires, supplementary handouts, and integrated slides to say the least!

    1. Classes will cover topics from Basics to the Advanced level keeping in mind the dynamic nature of questions being asked in recent times.
    2. Relevant supplementary material will be provided in a format that will help students revise quickly prior to the exam.
    3. Class lectures will be integrating topics across different PARTS and also PAPERS for efficient coverage of the syllabus.
    4. Theoretical portions will be integrated with practical aspects in sections of Polity and International Relations
    5. Dynamic portions like Polity and International Relations will be well integrated with current issues.
    6. Most importantly how to use Political Science knowledge in General Studies will be taught as 60% of Political Science overlaps with the General studies syllabus.
    7. Most importantly care is taken that students will not be burdened with bulky books. Most things will be covered with class lectures, supplementary material and test discussions. Books will be prescribed just for reference and not for giving a foundation.

    UNIQUE FEATURE

Dynamic nature of Political Science papers in UPSC has been on an increasing curve in recent times. The recent paper of 2019 testifies this.

Almost 50% of the paper was current based. Questions like Multipolarity, Human Rights and Data, Brahmaputra issue, PMO, National Commission on Women to name a few were current inspired.

The good thing about such questions is it prepares a candidate even for GS questions. But the preparation for such questions in Political Science differs slightly along with the usual overlaps. In political science one needs to link theoretical aspects with the current issues. Making such linkages in answers helps a candidate fetch more marks.

For example, the human rights and big data question can be linked to Frankfurt school and their views on consumerism.

But this does not come in a day. It at first needs a clarity about the concept and then comes the application part.

Understanding this need of students, we are providing current affairs classes to be held every fortnight along with the course.

This way current topics of every month will be covered accordingly. In these classes following things will be taught

    1. Important current affairs topic of last 15 days related to Political Science from newspapers will be picked
    2. They will be explained and important points will be provided on those topics in class which can be easily used for revision during the exams.
    3. These points will come in handy for GS paper 2 as well.
    4. Most importantly integration with theoretical concepts will be done and also tricks will be given to learn the art of linking things.
